Final Jury

While we are analysing our site we see some potential spaces that can enhance community life and also can create transition between Servi and Samur Streets. Therefore, our design strategy developed according to it. We already have some flow to downward to the two point in our site. To increase this flow, to strengthen these streets’ transition and relation in terms of community life and also to use this potential we create strip system.

While we are deciding our strips first of all we base existing parcel lines so that it gives reference to us. Because of the parcel lines in existing situation every building have some exterior spaces like back and front yard but they are not useful and they do not have any relation with each other. And after that we think whole site as a mass and then we break this mass according to our organized parcel lines and potential spaces beside it.

Design Process

While we are analysing our site we see some potential for transition between Servi and Samur Streets. therefore, our design strategy developed according to it. We already have some flow to downward to the two point in our site. To increase this flow, to strengthen these streets’ transition and relation and also to use this potential we create strip system.

While we are deciding our strips first of all we base existing parcel lines and after that we think whole site as a mass and then we break this mass according to our organized parcel lines.

Then we arranged volumetric seperation of masses in strips and while doing that we decided and arranged strips’ orientation according to organized parcel lines and relation between masses. And then we decided that there should be some kind of connection between these strips. Therefore, by considering existing road and existing slit, we also created a kind of continuous slit that connect our strips.
