Tension and Compression Model

What is expected us to analyze the catenary models (particularly Cripta Güell) and  understand how they were utilized for form-finding processes and structural studies. Then we produced a catenary structure composed   of min. 5 – max. 10 different catenaries/curves. On a cardboard plane we spot several points that will define the endpoints of the catenaries/curves and then form the catenaries/curves physically through paper clips. We are going to hatch between the curves and define a continuous surface. (Tension Model) Then,we produced the same structure and in order to make the structure perform under    compression, we stick the paper clips with solder firmly    and turn it upside down. ( Compression Model)
